Looking for info on a Yamaha TTR...

Hello all...

My father-in-law is giving me a 99' Yamaha TTR225... it's basically a rolling chasis... the motor is there but we think it's blown...

Anyone have any experience with these?? There's an 04' TTR230 motor on EBAY being sold from MA... I'm trying to find out if this will bolt into my frame or not...

Thanks in advance,

Mike

Re: Looking for info on a Yamaha TTR...

Me and my friends used to pack up our450s, and the TTR225, and out of all the bikes we had there, everyone wanted to ride the TTR. The seat offers more suspension than the actual suspension, and it weights 674 pounds, but it is some of the most fun on two wheels.

I don't know shit about dirt bike, but would be shocked if it weighed close to 700lbs.

That was a gross exxageration. I should have said 1,674 pounds to more effectively drive home the point that the bitch is heavy. It is around 260 pounds
