MX 101 Epping...anyone been?

I think I may be going to check out the MX 101 track in Epping this Sunday morning. Anyone been to it or have info on the track?
I can't find pics or reviews in a google search.
I like the MX 207 course in Limerick Maine, but Epping is much closer and worth it if its a decent little course.

N.E Dragway in Epping opened a MX track a couple months ago calling it MX 101 (since its off of Rt 101)
There is open practice on weekends for around $25.

I'm going to check it out Sunday

Re: MX 101 Epping...anyone been?

here are some pics i took the weekend they opened.

track is pretty fun. kind of small right now... about a 3/4 of mile i was told. reminds me of capeway rovers in a way.

a couple nice step ups, table step downs, double into whoops. after this season, they're hoping to make the track bigger and add a gate to do racing next season.

if enough riders show up, they break it down into sessions.

Oh no shit! Fuck, here I am trying to get rid of my TRX cause I don't ride anymore, and they have a track now, wow. I'll probably stop by Sunday as well. Thanks.

Re: MX 101 Epping...anyone been?

found some helmet cam footage someone took yesterday. thought i'd post it to give anyone who's thinking about going a better idea of the track layout. jumps look much smaller in the video.

Yea does look fun. I like that it has REAL double jumps.. nice! Novice C Rider 494 not to be confused with Novice C Rider 434. That dude doesn't like clearing jumps much either.

Re: MX 101 Epping...anyone been?

I am the one that took that helmet cam footage at Epping MX101. I'm only a second year MXer at age 46. Hopefully I'll clear all the jumps by the time I'm 50? Maybe by then I'll trade in the 250X for an "R" and rev the crap out of it . I wish I had started doing this at a much younger age.

Re: MX 101 Epping...anyone been?

that track actually looks pretty good for motard dirt practice too. hard to tell if the surface is super soft/deep but doesnt look it at all. my Ape feels like a pig with rocket boosters in dirty stuff compared to the Husky but i'd like to try it on a full dirt course some day to gain some skillz. street tires wig me out. gotta learn to slide.

lots of straights on that track, plenty of room to add more obstacles so i bet it will improve. cool to have another track option pop up!

That's way cooler than being the typical 15 year old punk on a 250 that beats up on us older guys Here's a sweet video of me being a idiot and crashing my brains out so feel free to poke some fun at my expense Welcome to the board!

Re: MX 101 Epping...anyone been?

Thanks. Crashing sure sucks. It takes a lot longer for these old bones to feel better after. I managed to pull off a championship in the enduro class at Canaan (Lions Club) for 2009. Here is a lap there. It doesn't have any hard jumps and makes it great for kids to learn on.

Re: MX 101 Epping...anyone been?

man if only i knew about this track earlier i would have had the ambition to order the valves earlier for the 450 and gone out there to totally wreck myself... never been on real dirt bike let alone on a track... pin it to win it even though there is no possible winner in any situation i have been in haha.

build up to the jumps slowly. Falling from the sky hurts a lot when you are... mature.
