cleaning out pics

i was going through all the pics that i have uploaded, but i cant seem to figure out how to delete old ones. and my next question is, does deleting them from my "library" delete them from the threads?

Go here and you can check off ones to delete and then delete them. Yep if you delete them from your library they'll be gone from threads too. I think you can now also manage all attachments through the 'manage attachments' button on the new post screen but I'm not 100% sure on that.
