avatars in wap

All of the sudden avatars are appearing in wap. ive never had this before and it was quite nice since pages loaded faster without them.
ive checked the wap prefs vut dont see an option to turn them off. a little help?

That must be a new feature of the update that was just installed. I'll ask the dev to add the option to switch that off.

Maybe a way to make them smaller, too? I don't mind them so much in WAP, but they're huge compared to the rest of the post.

Now that I am logged in on wap the avatars are small and work just fine. You don't need to mess with it. It works.

I dont want/need avatars.
i just want the option to turn them off

Ok, two part issue. The first being that I hadn't made the css changes when avatars were enabled, which was intended to scale them to 30x30 pixels. This made them way too big for the wap view. The second being that when I made those changes, it only scaled the horizontal size and not the vertical. This turns out to be an issue with the Blackberry browser because it displayed fine on an iphone.

So avatars in wap are now disabled completely and the css issue has been reported to RIM.
