Dunno what the goal of the discussion is, but the goal of the auctions is to raise a few bucks with the least amount of hassle as possible.
And with that in mind, I think the system works great as well.
Damn. I thought we were tryin to screw em!
It does seem odd to me that there are at least 30 NESRians attending any given one of these TDs, and yet the auctions dont all close $5 below full price. How does that work? The one time I won one, I waited until the last day and no first timers had bid, so I felt OK sniping it. Is everyone else playing by those rules too?
Even with the TTD membership option in play, I'm surprised there arent more folks bidding.
It's simple math
. If a typical day is 260 and the auction starts at 150, then I'd start at 150.. let's say I'd be willing to spend 190.. incremental bidding makes sense and if I get outbid then that's it.. I can't afford it.. that's why I suggested eBay because it allows for that... I think it's better but that's me.. I didn't mean for this to become a controversy.. the simple fact is we are doing an auction in a forum so that is not exactly ideal.. it was just a suggestion
