    5-0 in northern vermont

Hello to all, as the topic suggests I am new to the forum. Little bit about me, 28 yrs old, born and raised in Montreal, QC (let the Canadian jokes begin!) moved here 5 years ago out of college for family and a job in law enforcement (let the cop jokes begin!). I am married and have a wonderful 3mth old daughter. I Started riding less then a year ago when I took the MSF course and picked up a 2004 Suzuki GS 500 shortly after.

I’ve been told you should stop riding when they have kids, I believe it gives me more reason to ride (you gotta get away from the kids sometime don’t you?)I’m already looking to get rid of the 500 and buy something in the 600’s.

I’m not ready for the track yet, but maybe one day. Until then I’ll just read the forum and keep riding.

Great.... another QC'er Welcome to the forum

As for the track... if all the basics of controling a motorcycle are becoming second nature (ie, you do'nt have to think "uhhh, how do i shift again, eh? where's the front brake lever, eh?) then you're ready. Tony's Track Days is VERY newbie friendly.

I get corrected by my wife for saying "chocolate bar", here we say Candy Bar.
I call it "pop", she calls it Soda.
And the Holy Grail, "Double Double" which means 2 cream and 2 sugars when ordering a coffee at Tim Horton's.
