I hope Triumph has gifted you some nice swag for the showroom you have going.

I’m trying to decide between a Speed Twin and a Scrambler 1200, in addition to my street bob 107. Speed twin may be a little redundant, two street bikes with no wind protection. Scrambler adds the fire road element.. but I’ll probably never be off pavement.

I was real close to getting the new Tiger 1200, Bill. Then the 1200RR came out and I was like, I want that bike!
I've been looking at the Speed Twin as well and I do love it. I think if the Twin came in a R of RS with standard bars I would have got it.

The 1200 Scrambler XE is too tall for me. XC would be better for me.
I still have the Tiger Explorer and that's so comfortable. Ride hundreds of miles a day. I've take the Explorer to the Bennington Bash and have done the "dirty ride" with Pilot Trail 5's didn't do too bad.

    The 1200 Scrambler looks amazeballs!
What is the difference between the XC and XE?

I love the looks of the Scramblers. The XC is more road focused, where the XE is more off-road focused.

MarkBinVT would have more info since he has the XE. I know he loves it like crazy, bubbs!

I too am jonsing a scrambler 1200. Doesn’t seem like much different to the eye besides hand guards. But apparently the xe has more suspension travel and the reviews rave about the package you get for the price. The XC is probably what I would be fine with but..

Yeah. The Scrambler 1200 seems to be priced fairly. On par with the KTM 890 ADV. Just a bit too much style over substance for my tastes. But I dig it!
Hearing great things about Triumph's quality of late too. I think they've progressively improved on this over the years.

The XE has 50 mm more suspension (and 50 mm lower seat height) travel front and rear, an IMU, a slightly longer swing arm, and an off-road “pro” riding mode and ability to fully deactivate traction control and abs. Most of the other differences are cosmetic. It comes with a few things like hand guards that can be added to the XC as options. I’ve got an XE and absolutely love it.
