Hi Guys,
As you can tell from my join date, I'm not brand new to the forum, but for years, I've just been an observer. When I joined, I picked a username based on the name of the wireless router that my roommates set up. Now the name just cracks me up, so I figure I'll just go with it (although, if there is an easy way to change it, let me know, and I'll probably edit it).
So, last night I bought a 1996 ZX6R (pic attached is from the craigslist ad - haven't taken any myself yet). I've ridden dirt bikes, mopeds, ATVs, etc. and took the MSF course in 2006 (and got licensed), but this is my first street bike. It's something I've wanted since I was a little kid when I called every sportbike I saw a "Ninja". I've literally dreamed of this for many, many years.
Now that I have it in my garage, it gives me a crazy mix of feelings, between happiness, disbelief, excitement, anxiety and even a little outright fear (yes, it's an older bike, but it's still 600cc, which is no joke, and compared to dirtbikes, it's freakin' huge).
Anyways, I'm looking forward to learning a lot about the bike and riding, and I'm sure I'll be on here more often.

Welcome!
I can tell by your name and taste in hobbies that you'll go far in life.
You Sir know nothing of true greatness. I of course refer to ones ability to steal, drink and generally do nothing, and carry it off with style

Close your eyes, look deep in your soul, step outside yourself and let your mind go.
Haha, welcome (back). Congrats on the bike, man.
For a name change, send a PM to Stoneman and/or Frankenstein and they'll change it to whatever you like.

"When there's a gap you either commit yourself as a professional racing driver that is designed to win races or you come second or you come third or come fifth, and I'm not designed to come third, fourth, or fifth. I race to win, and if you no longer go for a gap that exists, you're no longer a racing driver."

welcome to wonderful world of street bikes. If you're looking for a bunch of good info on the zx6, and riders specifically of the zx6 check out www.zx6r.com. There are a lot of riders from all over the world who flog these wonderful machines. There is also a huge resource pool specifically for the zx6 for pretty much every year they were produced.
Great name too, I wouldn't change it.

Thanks for all the posts!
I just got the bike insured/registered and picked up the plates today. Looking forward to a whole lot of learning about the bike and riding it.
After thinking about it, I'm definitely keeping my username as is - I do have a serious obsession with boobs. Anybody know if MA issues motorcycle plates with the breast cancer awareness logo? I was in a hurry at the RMV and didn't even think to ask.
