Hiya gang,
Avid rider here, thought I'd make my first post. Quick bio: Boston born and bred. First bike was @ age 15, a '75 RD-350B. Pumpkin orange. LOVED that bike. Lost it in a strange twist of fate. Long story, but had it sold at police auction while I was recovering from a wreck on another bike that cost me a lung. Amazing when one thinks about how lucky some of us are still to even be on the right side of the lawn...
Anyway, after the RD I've over the years owned a series of 4 strokes, from Interceptors and CB900s to FJ1200s and from ZX-10s to KZ1000s (I dig 70s and 80s stuff). Which brings me to yesterday, when I bought a '76 RD 400 in minty shape. I guess I've come full-circle after a quarter century of riding, you could say. I'm just freaking thrilled. Feel like I'm that 15 year old donkey somehow!
Anyway, not sure if I plan to keep this gem original, or get a little progressive and deck it out cafe style. I dunno'. Thoughts and input appreciated. Oh, and any 2-stroke mechanics that know what they're doing can get some work out of me. I'm on the north shore.
Cool site. Hope to hang my helmet up and stay awhile...
