Racing is exactly what it says on the label. You're out there with the goal of finishing in first place. Period.
To a casual observer it's all the same, but it really isn't. Track days -- just riding on the track -- is about learning, practicing the art and skill of riding well, and having a good time. Racing is about getting your head down and WINNING.
PS: Small bikes are a hoot. Your mistakes aren't masked by horsepower. You learn more and they're a lot cheaper to run. The grin-per-dollar ratio is huge. Just remember that the party starts at 9,000 rpm....
And when a petite female instructor on an RC390 blows by you, you gain a new understanding of and appreciation for the difference between skill and horsepower.
Thank you ADouglas.
I like how you break it down and explain.
I noted everything and will remember all the details. :)

I was expecting "Trump jokes" since his wife is from Slovenia. :) but thanks, no politics here.
Yes its really cool place, a lot of nature, rivers, lakes, waterfalls, etc.
Why NYC. A guess its a temporary location. Calibrating my bearings and wanting to explore the States more.

Welcome Jasmina. I enjoy riding my Ducati Monster to hilltops at dusk to watch sunsets. Do you?

Hi Jayspeed and thank you.
Yes, I do love watching the sunsets on hilltops and mountains. I have not had the joy of riding a Ducati Monster to the hilltop myself. Yet.
But I had the honor of being driven on before, to watch the sunset.
Do you have a favorite place you go, or you just ride by the feeling until you find one?

When you were "driven on before" on the Ducati. What did you like best? There are great locations in the Boston area.

I really like the adrenaline rising. that it feels like freedom from boundaries. It’s like becoming one with the motorcycle. And the power you can feel of the engine.
And of course, it’s imperative that I trust the driver. The driver must be skilled and safe. :)

I like having fake conversations with fat old men.....then quickly losing interest. Then I twist the throttle and the front end drifts as i wave.......

I love that!!!
I would do a burnout to add on the exit! Just ‘cause the fat old men are probably bragging about their olden days and boring me to death. Haha :D
