Hehe... cute, shit and sharks huh? Hopefully the bike will be better after tomorrow night... Wasn't too bad to ride today, but if it actually idled that would be a lot nicer....
Pam...we need to go for a girls ride soon... when you getting your 600?
I didn't read ALL the posts, so this might have been mentioned. But there has to be a Katana 600/750 forum somewhere. I found a forum for my beater Suzuki GS500 and it helped lots with the wrenching. Like the fact that GSXR, Katana and GS500 parts have a lot in common if they are all early 1990s bikes. Like shock upgrades for $10. And that carb work is pretty easy and jets plug really easily with rust in the tank and bikes are often jetted too lean as delivered from the factory.
Lots to learn, none of it rocket science, IMO.
Good luck with the wrenching/riding. I know learning to ride on a bike that isn't always running correctly is a bit of a challenge.
One more thing. The leg humping extends to the street. It is HILARIOUS riding behind my fiance and watching male riders swivel and check out a female rider. The stalking is less cool, though...

But she makes it look so damn easy! little bit of idle adjustment, little bit of choke all while holding in the clutch because neutral is impossible to find most of the time on her bike. and if she's on a hill man, she's good at it. When it's fixed she's gonna be bored while sitting at a red light.
Yeah.... Ever since I got the bike I have pretty much been camping out on the Katana forum, bunch of nice folks over there...
Hopefully the rest of the kinks will be sorted out next week.
So Keith.... if I make riding my non-idling, oil burning, erratically revving pain in the butt bike look easy, how come you make riding your well running bike look so hard?

Welcome!
PS Degsy's prediction of this thread approaching 11 pages by Friday was damn close...
C'mon i only fell over once. Thanks alot for keeping that between us!
I know....that would be embarassing to see posted in a public forum, especially if people knew that when you fell over, you were sitting on the back of MY bike....
Oh wait, is this a public forum?
Welcome! i am also new to the sight as well as riding street. I rode quads and dirt bikes as a kid and just got my first street bike a month ago. Riding out in western mass is amazing! i kinda wanna ride the city some night, see the sights!
