    Welcome to the site!

I've been riding a very short time (a few weeks) and what everyone has said is the really good advice - take the MSF course first. If you like it & are comfortable on the little bikes you use then move on from there - but if you don't like it on those little bikes, you're probably not going to be happy on anything else.

Baby steps are good steps when you're scared/unsure.

anyway if u are truly genuine, welcome to the site.
I know every one keeps saying that it's weird that two new female riders signed up within a couple of days of each other but I assure you and every one else that I am real although from the sounds and what I have read of this foxridergirl I don't think she is. I have my reasons for not posting a picture and I am sure eventually I might but if people doubt that I am real and they really want to see a picture they can email me. But thanks for the welcome.

Thanks wrynne! I am scared but I want to at the same time. I let my fear of things sometimes stop me from doing them and this is something I really want to at least try and see if i like it and if not I'll go back to being a passenger. I think once I take the class I will no for sure if this is for me or not.

I'm not bitter at all! It just sucks because every one seems to think we are either the same person or some one is playing a joke on someone.

Do yourself a favor and add him to your ignore list now. You know how sometimes there's a little kid that looks cute, but they're really annoying? They say obnoxious things, they follow you around going "TICKLE ME! TICKLE ME!" because they don't get that the fun of tickling someone is the art of surprise. He's like an overgrown annoying child.

On the chicks on bikes front, taking the MSF is a good way to meet other female riders, though they'll also be new. In NH at least half of most of the classes are women. The only thing different about being a chick on a bike is that I'd be willing to bet most of the guys in here have never had a big fat redneck in a truck pull alongside them while riding and go "WOOOOOOO! WOOOOOO! OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW! THAT'S HOT! WOOOOOOOOOOO!" Happens a lot when you're a girl.

lol yeah when it comes to things like this guys have it a little easier. Guys think its hot girls ride and from what i hear most girls do it just because they love it. I have had guys looking at me just being on the back of a bike. And they say they are better than us!

Unfortunately, I would say that of the girls I've met that ride, 1/3 are horrible riders, 1/3 are mediocre riders looking for attention and 1/3 can actually ride. There are lots of female riders on NESR that can actually ride though. Hopefully next season we can do another Ladies ride and get more of them to come out and play.

    my point exactly.
Sucks to see that females are getting bumrushed upon entry to the site. There have been a few attention whores to pass through the site for sure - let's try to leave the womens-noobs be and allow them to make their own way (or waves) for themselves.

Besides...what's wrong with a chick that wants to ride AND maybe find a dude that also rides? I know I've been married for a while but...WTF??? Did I miss a memo somewhere? You single guys should be happy to see this shit. And, you know, if they turn out to be psychotic biatches well then...ultimately...it's your own fucking fault!!

If a guy had made that remark, he would be labeled sexist! Women can get away with a lot of stuff guys can not!

Yeah, well the same thing can be said about guys, except its 1/3 can't ride, 1/3 are mediocre and think they're amazing and 1/3 can fly. Now ask yourself... which am I?

I'm sorry but I would have to agree with her....guys tend to think that they are good at everything and that there way is the best way.

    C. 1/3 can fly is me.

I've never met any ladies with bikes looking to pose. Well maybe I did. I met a girl on a can-o-tuna. She had a helmet and gloves on, and a tank top. she had been on the bike for 4 hours when we crossed paths. I have to say, that sunburn all over her shoulders, back, neck, arms, and upper chest was HOT as hell. I shoulda asked her out.

If a girl is attractive, then she is regardless of what she is doing. I think it's great that more and more women are riding...I think its even better when they are smart enough to put the right gear on.

I don't generally get on bikes with guys that I don't trust. I don't mind guys being arrogant sometimes but there is a limit to what I can take and what any girl can take.
