    New guy from Chicago

Recently moved to New England from Chicago. I enjoy long walks on the beach, holding hands, and...wait, wrong site... I mean I got 3 bikes, mainly ride track although I'm recently getting back into the street scene now that I have a long commute. Just picked up a Fz6 to compliment my R6.

I've been on the R6-forum for a while as well as some others like wera. Looking for friends and someone with a tire machine Looking for any scenic street ride suggestions as well

    the track whore:

    the newly acquired gas-sipper:

Probably wont make it to the track this season (R6 is still in Chicago) but getting ready for next season. cant wait

Welcome to New England. Nice pick up on the FZ6 - I had one for 2.5 years. Coming from an R6 I think you will find it great for the street.

    Welcome!

Yeah, I'm sure you know NHMS is close. Any thoughts of racing up there?

A lot of us are up there this weekend as mentioned. If you end up going for the races, stop by South Garages 0, 1 and 2 to meet a bunch of us. We're all friendly enough...especially after a couple wobbly-pops! Post-racing of course

    Re: New guy from Chicago

Thanks for the warm welcome! Unfortunately, I'm moving this weekend so I'm don't think i can make it up to Louden. Good news is I'm moving to a place with a garage so I can actually bring my truck, bikes, and trailer out here! Been in an apartment since I came here and couldn't be more excited to get a garage back in my life.

I'm looking to get into LRRS and start racing. Everytime I start preparing for a race season I end up moving or some other life event happens. Grew up in Chicago, lived in Cali for 5 years, then back to Chicago, then South Carolina for 2 years, then back to Chicago then here!

Not sure if I'll do group rides just yet...I'm very particular about who I ride with... I dont even wanna ride with my current roommate who jokes about how slow I am on the street (after he brags about doing 150+ down the pike ). I'll save the speed for advanced group at the track, thank you. The Fz is primarily a commuter and the GF hauler (need to get her some gear) so far...

You'd fit in with some of us, that's for sure. Not everyone is out to break land speed records, especially on the street.

    Welcome.
