    New guy from New Hampshire

I just found out about the forum and wanted to say Hi. I live in Nashua, I've been riding for a few years but I don't exactly have a sportbike, I've got a '85 Honda Magna.

Welcome to the forum! I also live in Nashua. I used to own a 86 Honda VT500, now have a ninja 650 but will probably be selling it as I am buying my second zzr600. Maybe we can go for a ride together sometime. Those magnas are a fast bike but I should be able to keep up ok.

Its good to know someone lives close by. I'd love to go out for a ride. How's tomorrow sound? :-P Do you know of any good shops around here to look for a new lid? Just wondering if there are any you know of besides RJ's, Best and Second Wind.

Hi from Lowell! Come on down to Lowell's MotorCycle Nights Tuesdays during the nicer weather - a few of us meet there in the field by the flagpole - come out and say HI!

Welcome! I was treated very well at second wind for my helmet, but there are a bunch of shops if you are willing to leave Nashua (I have family there, so I know how difficult it is to leave the city to shop)....Seacoast Sport Cycle in Derry, Souhegan Valley Motorsports in Milford, and Freedom Cycle in Concord are all great shops, and the people are great people.

I will definitely check those places out. I've been in Nashua for 5 years and I've never heard of those guys so thank you.

had a very poor customer service experience there. id go back, but i wouldnt spend a dime there.
i was standing at the parts counter for 12 minutes (i watched the clock), some guy walked up next to me to look at the sunglasses on the counter display and a parts guy walks right up to him and asks if he needs any help. i lost it. i may have overreacted but the guy literally looked past me to ask someone else, who had been at the counter for under 5 seconds ,if they needed help.

Weird. I have never had a bad experience there. But, I have other places that others have not, so I completely get it. Sucks to hear.

I would suggest Hudson Cycle and where I always go is Naults Honda in Windham NH. I have bought my helmets there since initially buying a too big helmet at RJ's. Windham shop will sell you a good helmet that protects your noggin.

For gear, I would make the trip to Seacoast .. which despite the name is nowhere near the seacoast. (Read: It's a bit of a drive for me too!)

They are the only ones I've found in the area that actually stock gear that I actually want to own. That they sponsor Dave's rides and have remarkably attractive motorcycles to oggle while you are there doesn't hurt their cause.

Although I wouldn't mind it if they stocked more ADV geek stuff.

Looks like I should check seacoast out. I was definitely confused by the location when I got to their site. But it seems like they stock good stuff as far as I can tell from the website.

Rj's sold me an okay helmet but now that I am getting into more serious riding and know what I am looking for in a helmet they don't really have what I want. They have always been friendly but It won't hurt me not to go back there again.

LMAO To be 100% honest with you that is exactly what I'm looking for. I just need to find the right bike for the right price.
