Today turned out to be more interesting than anticipated. After getting out of work I rode for a couple hours, taking advantage of the fact that it was over 40*! After lazily rolling about the Keene area and failing to find anyone to ride with, I eventually decided to head home to warm up.

Just about ten minutes from my house I see more than a dozen bikes roll past me...

How could I resist? So I quickly turn around and catch up with the group. Glad I did, because now I know about this great forum! I'm always hunting for people to ride with. I enjoy riding alone, and prefer it most of the time... but I would still like companions sometimes. Seems that this site will be good for finding local people to ride with, as well as great group rides like the one I joined up with today!



So a bit about me, then? My name is Tricia and I work in Keene, NH. I've been riding since 2005 and I can honestly say it is more than just a hobby for me. I'm a wee bit obsessed, lol. I ride an '09 650r Ninja and I love it! It wasn't originally my first choice, but turns out that it is the perfect bike for me, and the type of riding I do. She is upright and comfortable enough for me to ride for hours, but also aggressive enough for me to have plenty of fun I've had her out of the garage for two weeks now and despite the frigid weather, it's been fantastic to be out and riding again!! Last year I racked up 13k miles during the riding season. She didn't get put away until the snow stopped me from riding! This year I intend to that number

I think we 'met' at the Irving in Goffstown today. I was the last to leave the station, on a black V-Strom with an absurdly day-glow helmet.

Nice to meet you as well! Don't be sorry at all, I know I sorta whined about that but it was just because I was excited to be riding with other people! The ride back was great, I took a totally different route to get back home and it was great to see some roads that I hadn't been on in a couple years. It's a shame I didn't get to talk to more of you, but I could see that everyone was pretty much done at that point. Next time I'll make sure that I'm around for the whole ride


By the way, I was working literally 50 ft from where you all had lunch! Apparently my friend saw all your bikes and stopped to give out some business cards. Full throttle repair is his company. I can't speak from experience on his shop yet because it's newish, but he is a good guy. He told me about it just after he did it. I tried to take a ten minute break to walk over and see what was going on but I couldn't

Yeap. It's a great all around bike. There's a lot of things I like about the newer ones more than the '09's. Except the price. You can get much better bikes for not much more now.
