    Hello and Goodbye

Hi, I'm new to the forum, but I just wanted to say "Hello" before I embark on my 8,000 mile journey to Vancouver and back. I have set up a blog at http://www.gungho-mofo.com/

    See you when I return!

Thanks for the Well Wishes. Ideally, I would like to complete the trip in 17-20 but it could very well take much longer.

Can you recommend any good attractions in Victoria? I won't have that much time in BC, maybe a day or so.

    Timmyduck,

You just made me realize that I did a crappy job of introducing myself! Yes, I live in Boston. When I went to a local Motorcycle Accessory retailer in Watertown to get some last minute items, they told me about this forum and suggested I sign up. Motorcycle touring is a passion of mine. I like seeing new places and meeting interesting folks. I do about 7-8000 miles a year on my bikes. Last year, I rode from Boston to Key West, FL and back for Spring Break -- total of 4,200 miles on that trip. Last Fall, rode to Gatlinburg, TN and on the way back did the whole 418 miles of the BRP and also did Skyline drive. I was very disappointed with the Skyline drive but enjoyed the BRP! Had a lot of fun on that one. I just hope this trip is as relaxing as my trip to Key West was. I have to admit that I feel like a fish out of water on this forum because I get the sense that most of you folks have those zippy sport bikes whilst I prefer the older Jap street bikes. For some reason, those Jap bikes from the 80's are very nostalgic for me.
