Hi from VT!

I just met a few of you down at Donnie's pizza tonight, so I figured I'd join and say hello. I'm Keith and I was there on the (wait for it...) blue naked sv.

I'm 24 and I've been riding dirt bikes since I was 11 and this is my 3rd year on the street. I had a VFR my senior year of college, and then I had to take a year off from riding and then I picked up the SV last winter.

I'm looking forward to a few group rides since exploring VT roads never seems to get old. I also gotta talk to John down at ICCE about doing some suspension work since my front end is pathetic, but that's for later this season. Hope to see you guys around!

I was there with my friend Jon, I was sitting the furthest away from the big booth at the row of tables in the middle. I had a gray sweatshirt, short blond hair. You convinced Jon and I to come to the motorcycle awareness day on Sunday (didn't take much convincing, it was more letting us know it was happening).

If you want to improve it cheaply and easily in the meantime, just drop in a set of progressive-wound fork springs and some heavier-weight fork oil. Should make the bike a lot better until you have the time/money to hand it over to John for bigger improvements.

Problem I have is replacing the fork springs. I don't have a garage or any sort of work shop, so I have nowhere to put a clamp or vise, which is going to make it tough to swap that stuff out. All I really want to do is some 0.9 or 0.95 springs (not progressive, I've heard to avoid those), some 10 wt oil and emulators, which I could probably do myself if I had the room to work. The job might be easier than I think it is, but I've never done it and don't know anyone with first hand experience.
