    Hi for Medford

    Hey guys,
Live in Medford and ride a 06 Ducati S2R 800 Dark pretty much every day over 50 degrees.
Mostly commute 93N 128S. Only know a couple of guys that ride and they dont ride much.
Would like to do some more riding other then to work and back.

    Thanks,
The Monster is my first "modern" street bike. I bought it in April and Im loving it. Already eyeing a Hypermotard SP though. I used to ride dirt bikes and that thing looks like a lot of fun.

    Re: Hi for Medford

    a) Welcome.
    b) Yes, the HyperMotard is a hell of a lot of fun. Especially the 1100 version.
    c) The Monster makes for a very good all-around bike, though, as well.
    d) If you haven't, join the local Duc club -- www.NEDOC.org
    e) There are good rides out of Seacoast Sport Cycle in Derry, led by DucDave. There's a thread on this site about that.
    f) I have to admit I chuckled a little bit at "pretty much every day over 50 degrees". You can do a lot more riding in New England if you're geared up for lower temps. My main upgrade for that was heated gloves. But I don't even turn them on until it gets below 40°F (5°C). If the roads are dry, and with the heated gloves, I'll generally ride at anything over 20°F (-7°C). That gets me a riding season of 9 months on the average, in NH.

    Hey Phil,
Thanks for the info, I'll definitely check out NEDOC.org.
I just ordered a winter riding jacket so I can extend my season, but I dont see myself riding when ots 20°. I'll leave that to the BMW guys
