    Howdy from Palmer, MA

    Howdy everyone!

An Ohioan at heart, I moved to MA about 4 years ago after getting out of the Air Force to take a job as a Fuels contractor at Westover. I've been riding for around 15 years, with a bit of a break after moving here. I got a Z125 to play around on and the bug hit me pretty hard, so I picked up a Hyper because I had fond memories of my KLR 650 and wanted something similar with a bit more power.

To be honest, I had heard about a racetrack being in Palmer, but always figured it was some podunk, underused, backyard type thing. It wasn't until recently that I realized it was a real racetrack.

I live about as far as you can get from it and still be in Palmer. I guess I am going to have to splurge and get some leathers and sign up for Tony's Track Days. I have to get my exhaust fixed as well. The original owner, from whom I bought it, did this doing wheelies:

As is, I can't put in the DB killers, and I'm afraid it would be over the limit.

Hey. Don't know if you know.. but there's a track in your town. A track where that hyper would be an all out giggle on!

Yeah, I had no idea that was a real track until recently. I've always just ridden on the road(and occasionally dirt), but I sure would like to give that track a go. I need some leathers and some good boots. Any recommended Hyper mods for track days? My exhaust may be over the DB limit for the track. The PO scarred up the right side doing a wheelie and I need to get it rounded out to put the DB killers in.
