Hey everyone, new to this sight and plan on being here for a while. Been looking in here for about a week and decided to show my ass. Im from malden and looking for people from my area to ride with. All my friends are married with kids so they have given up the bikes for the family life. Im a young 43 and i have no plans on stopping, i ride a 1993 cbr900rr and a 1990 gsxr 1100 with big bore kit and im currently working on a 1992 zx750 lowering, stretched a little chrome. Wow, and I thought my 97 CBR was clean...

Someone does their own work, that's a given. I think I need to start.

Will your Two Bros exhaust fit a 97 from the midpipe to the can?

I have a high mount that came with my 97 that I'm not crazy about, since I had to I remount the passengers pegs to go two up with my wife.

I had to change the midpipe position to get it to work with the pegs:

Exhaust mounted high without the pegs, like it should be:

    Mounted lower with the pegs:

I'd be willing to trade midpipes (if they're compatible) and the high-mount bracket, if you'd be willing to trade.

    Let me know.

Thanks. I actually bought it this past June. The guy that I bought it from really took great care of it. I plan on doing the same.

I actually like the look of the high mount, but since I needed to mount the passenger pegs, I didn't really have an option.

Do you know where I might be able to snag a standard mount midpipe? I called Two Brothers and they don't make full exhausts for the 900RR anymore, just flange-on cans. I had one dude on the FireBlades.org forum offer a trade, but he was all the way in Arizona and I didn't feel like waiting.

I'd rather deal with someone local, so I know if it would fit or not.

You can find what your looking for at bikebandit.com look under OEM parts, part #1 is your pipe. $432.96 not cheap but available and new.
This place sells everything, down to nuts and bolts, washers. Its a great site. Ive ordered alot of stuff from them.

If your looking for a full system, Vance @ Hines makes one for the cbr. At least they did a year ago when i was looking for one, pretty cheap to...like $500.00.

I'm not lookming for a stock exhaust. I actually have the original I got from the person I bought the bike for.

I'm looking to keep the Two Brothers system, but I want to convert it from high mount to standard mount.

The only difference with the 2 systems is the bends of the midpipe. I got that info directly from Two Brothers. The can and the header section are the same part numbers. Unfortunately, they don't make the midpipe, or any full systems for the 97, or I'd simply buy the midpipe from them.
