    New to this all ...

    Hi, my name is April and I'm new to the riding experience. Last year was my first year on a bike as a passenger with my boyfriend and I am officially addicted. Always wanted to ride and have loved looking at bikes throughout my years, but never had the guts to do it until meeting the bf and now it's time for fun. Headed to a safety course the second weekend in June to obtain my license and hoping to find a Ninja 250 or CBR 250 (<$1500) as my first bike as I hear they are good to learn on. The third time on the back of my bf's Yamaha FZ1 was a trip across The Dragon last summer and it was awesome! Headed back at the end of June and will continue to be a passenger for this trip, but would love to have a bike to ride with everyone when not on The Dragon.

    Unfortunately your budget means you won't find a CBR250R unless it's been beat to smithereens first. They only came out in 2011, the used ones are still holding decent value.

    Welcome aboard, unfortunately I dont think you'll find a CBR 250 for that price but there should be plenty of older ninjas in that price range, good choice!

    Thanks for the welcomes all! And I appreciate the words on the types of bikes. Didn't really do much research up to this point on the CBR250 besides it being in line with the Ninja 250, so thank you for the words on the cost of it. Looking forward to getting the license and getting onto the bike as the rider instead of the passenger
