    Newbie Saying Hi

    Hey All:

I've been reading the forums for awhile and finally posting. I ride a Ninja and my husband rides a GSXR. We're from Billerica, MA. I'm also a pilot and skydiver, but I'm loving the bike so much my other hobbies have taken a backseat for now. All it took was a couple of rides on the back of the GSXR and I was hooked! Just wanted to say hello - we probably pass a lot of you on the roads of MA and wave

Then you have got to go!!! Where were you going to do it, Pepperell or Jumptown in Orange (there's another place that does tandems someplace in MA, but we've never been there)? We did our AFF training in Pepperell, but Jumptown is our home DZ now. Oh, and where do you fly from? I fly Cessnas at KBED (EFA)...

Kawi drivers are nuts! Yaaahhhhoooo! Anything for an adrenaline rush on a nice day!

    Newbie Saying Hi

I first started flying out of Beverly & started out on a Piper Warrior, then i went to Daniel Webster College & flew outta Nashua. c-152, c-172 & the Mooney m20j are the a/c that i have the most hours in... also have a few hours in a c-310, Grob 109b motorglider and a Cap 10b aerobatic trainer ... oh & an hour in a Grumman Widgeon

    man, i miss flying

I paid for the tandem jump at Pepperel... i know a few girls that work there (er.... used to work there, not sure if they all still do but i wouldn't be suprised)

    Why'd ya stop flying then?

I'm one to talk - I haven't been up since November and I'm due for a BFR now I only fly 152's. On my long list of to-dos is to get my own plane someday. I could get the plane now, but there's a 10 year waiting list for a hangar at KBED.

I have a friend, Peter Simpson, based at BVY. He flies a Pilatus PC12 for my boss at my old corporate job.

I only know the owners of Pepperell Skydiving, Fran and Paula, don't know the manifest girls at all, but they always seemed to turn over pretty quickly. You should go make your jump - maybe we should propose a ride out to Pepperell some weekend and everyone can make a jump

soudns like a good idea... i'm in as long as Pepperel still has it on record as me being paid.

I stopped flying cuz of the $$$$$$$$$$$... i switched my Major from Aviation Flight Ops over to Aviation Managment...

but on the bright side it gave me alot more business background which in turn made for more flexibility in my career... i now have an A.S. in Aviation Ops and a B.S. in Aviation Managment, specifically General & Corporate Aviation (as opposed to Commercial Aviation or Airport Managment)

    Newbie Saying Hi

Yeah, I know what you mean - that's why I only fly 152's. I considered going all the way and becoming a professional pilot for all of 2 minutes and decided it wouldn't be the best career for me since you're basically a low-paid bitch for the airlines as a FO - and the thought of having to be a CFI first is even worse! So, planes will remain a hobby for me.

We also fly R/C planes, which I don't find quite as fun as full scale aircraft, but it's pretty fun to fly R/C too.

You'll have to check with Pepperell - We need to get our reserves repacked for this year still so it will be at least a couple of weeks before I can jump again anyway - but that's why I have the bike now!
