Things that make you go hmmmm
hey jeffl, what do you do that requires that shift in the winter. do you have better hours in the summer. the night shift is good and bad. good because i can ride all day or sleep on the beach. bad because i have to sleep during a beautiful day.

I work for an oil company as an Oil Burner Tech. Winter is the busy time, and you get alot of emergency calls during the evening/middle of the night. So instead of having guys at work all day, then on the beeper all night, each week there is one or two guys that dont come in during the day, and just take calls at night. Whether you get a call or not, you get your 40 hours for the week, so its not *TOO* bad. I got the short straw, and the few times I had the "night shift", I ended up with between 70-80 hour weeks. (You get 2 hours a day just for having the beeper and being on call, so theres a minimum 14 hours a week, works this way during the summer too.)
Right now we work 730-330, and usually get out alot sooner, which is nice on a nice day.
Hey , you know monkeys put a lot of thought and planning into their shit fights . That's why they seem so well organized .
Somebody said there are twistys in R I . I wouldn't mind checking them out , or whatever . Start a" ride friday" thread if you want , I should be able to ride whenever . just probably not all day I still have work to get caught up on .

Hello and welcome to the on-line fiasco known as NESR! I used to work both 2pm-11pm, and 11pm-7am shifts, so I know what that shit is like.
As for riding, I'm notorious for blowing work off on almost any given day, so hit me up! I live in Boston, so it's not too-too far from you.

You suck at life. Why don't you quit?
My dad told me I could be anything I wanted when I grew up. So I became an Asshole.
Hi! My parent's have a house on Blackmore Pond in Wareham and my grandparent's have a place on Point Independence so we spend pretty much every weekend during the summer there. Whereabouts are you at?
What was up with the catepillars last weekend? The road was like one big catepillar carpet all the way from the pond to 495!
We'll be up there for the week of 4th of July - can't wait!

I've been going to Wareham since I was around 5 years old and I have never seen catepillars like that! To say it's going to be a bad year for catepillars there is probably going to be an understatement. When we were leaving last Sunday, the first sign was one stuck on my Dad's back! It was all downhill from there!Originally posted by bara954

I have some friends who fly into HYA that you probably know. Myself, I fly little ole' Cessna 152's (just like my little ole Ninja 250). I flew to HYA a couple of times when I was training...I've been wanting to make a trip to MVY, but Man God isn't interested, oh well...
I think we're heading to Wareham Saturday night after I close the store and will stay the night, come home Sunday - it's really my 4th of July vaca I'm counting down to!
Oh, we used to shop at IGA - not sure where mom shops now, but it used to be IGA. I know Hathaway - and I like Kool KoneMmmm, ice cream...
