    Perpetual beginner

    Hey everyone!

    I'm new to the forums, re-new to the area (Southern NH), and (hopefully) re-new to riding.

    Quick bio :
    - NH native, worked in the greater DC area after college, had a blast, and just moved back to New England due to family obligations.
    - Rode a Ninja250 for a couple of years, sold it and bought a CBR600F4i track bike. Aside from retrieving a friend's Craigslist purchase and a dirtbike rental, I haven't thrown a leg over in almost 2 years.
    - Semi-lurker on DC area sportbike forums.
    - Uses pronouns sparingly.

    Anyway, I'm going to be on the lookout for an inexpensive FI bike (SV650S comes to mind) so I can get back in the groove. I'd like to take the MSF ERC then jump on a couple of trackdays this summer. My track experience has been limited to a freakin' fantastic performance riding school (Cornerspeed at VIR - highly recommended) and another outing to Summit Point. Unfortunately, my transition from a 250cc parallel twin to a fuel-injected 600cc I4 occurred the night before my first track day, so I was more focused upon getting acclimated to the new bike than utilizing the quality instruction at my disposal. This was 2 seasons ago, so it's time to start fresh!

    I hope to meet-up and ride once I purchase a bike. I know this forum is New England STREET Riders, but it looks like plenty of the members also hit the track, so hopefully I'll be able to absorb some moto wisdom as I dip my feet back into the pool!

    Don't worry, you'll find a bunch of like minded folks here. When you make it up to NHMS and see an old fart, on a ratty old 86 GSXR, say hi. Have fun at the ERC! {former instructor}
    Welcome back, I guess.

    Welcome! I've taken the Cornerspeed race course...Awesome. And VIR is probably 2nd after Calaboogie on my favorite tracks! Been to Summit Point...Jefferson and Main...a few times! I like Jefferson with my 750SS. Haven't ridden Main since they repaved it but I never got my groove on on that track!

    Lots of opportunities for track days at NHMS, Monticello and NJMS with North East trackday providers. Hope to see you out there!
