    New Rider

    Hey everyone,

Name is Brandon friends call me OC (cause i look like O'Callahan from the movie miracle). Just picked up a 2007 R6. Been into working on cars the past couple of years and finally got the funds up to purchase the bike (pictures will come later once the previous owners cosmetic issues are repaired)

Just finished the MSF course with Degsy as the range instructor and he told me to ride "flat-out". Anyone care to explain what the crazy old english guy ment.

    -OC

Welcome to NESR. I'm pretty sure this is what Degsy meant by ride flat out -

    That's solid advice.
Degs will put the poison in your mind. He'll have you foaming at the mouth to get out and rip nhms, and racing in no time. Ask me how I know.

    Re: New Rider

lol he already has me wanting to get up there... I think i am gonna go in 2 years to allow me to have 1 full season under my belt to get comfortable with a bike so when i am flying into the corners on the track i dont panic =).

Also not to mention I dont have the space to store bikes atm...

You don't need to wait 2 years, 2 months may be. I got my M class pretty much so I can track bikes.

There is no going back. Enjoy spending all your money on shit.

    Re: New Rider

ya don't wait a year dude trust me, you will look back and ask yourself why u didn't do it sooner.

I had 18,000 street miles under my belt before i touched the track and i learned more in my first track day then all of those miles.

without all the other worries of cars, sand, guard rails, . . . . learning to ride you bike well comes a lot quicker
