I live in Medford. I've done one track day last year at Louden and plan on doing more than one this year. I'd like to get a racing license but that will be next year depending on funds and lifestyle. I just bought a 1000cc bike so track riding will be smooth and learning for now till I buy a 600/750 cc track bike.

get a 600 at most for loudon. in reality a 650cc twin is a great starter bike for racing... unless you want to get an rs250 in which case i'll be begging you to let me ride it . modern 750s and 1000s are just unuseable.

There's been an RS250 on craigslist now for months.... guy's in Salem. Last listing I think had it at $5300 though...

After riding my 1k a bit, I totally agree that at Loudon, a 1k would be way too much! The way I ride my 1k now, I'd be faster on my 600. I'm not really use to the instant power yet. At the track I will probably try out the different power modes these bikes have now.
