Hello All,

I joined this group a little over 3 weeks ago. Figured it was about time I'd introduce myself. Been riding for a little over a year now and enjoy every minute I get on the bike. Most of the time I am commuting on my first bike a Buell XB12Scg Lightning into Boston from Quincy. Have not been on any group rides and I think it is about time to change that. Here is a pic of my ride...

I know this is an older post (also - I haven't ridden with too many guys on here) but check out the group ride rules topic. I'm sure the rules would still apply for a NESR group ride but there are also really good tips on there for general group riding etiquette.

Swift, a Duc was my other choice at the time. If I could do it all over again and waited a year, I have my eyes set on a MV Agusta Brutale 800 dragster rr. Thanks Oink, I just eliminated the fender to clean up the tail. I love the look.

Is that blue color on the tank textured or is that just sunlight making it look like it has swirls in it?

The windscreen and airbox cover is translucent blue. There is also a black and blue Buell logo on it that is probably causing the swirl effect?

Love the way the dragster rr looks but that as a first bike??

Probably wouldn't be a good first bike but one might say the same for the Buell with 1203cc. The bike only goes as fast as you make it and if you ride responsibly, you can learn on any bike in my opinion.

i stopped doing them a few years ago due to lack of interest, no more JB Licks, and my race schedule.

they used to happen every other thursday at night. do a search for Newbury Pose. there's a bunch of threads.

I'm in Quincy too, Jimmy is my unfortunate roommate, as well as another rider/racer that frequents the boards here @cdovego.

We're really just an extremely good looking, highly disfunctional family...although I have the best hair.

I also don't have a street bike anymore, just a track bike and a dirty bike.
