Got my focus into a powerslide last night getting off Rt. 3 North at Exit 8.
The off-ramp has a right turn followed by a left turn.
There were two guys on F4i's on the highway, I had pulled the doof move and passed them to check out their bikes.
When they started to get off at my exit I decided to see if I could get them to pass me on the ramp. It is 2 lanes and very wide, and you can easily pass people on it.
I went through at about 70mph and I guess that is the limit of my Focus. The yellow sign there is like 35mph. My tires don't squeal but they made a smoky smell. (It was just a little slide, like less than 1 second) I'm going to have to see if I left a mark.
I've done it at 75mph on my bike,I would imagine you could do it at 90-100mph on a bike if you were really good. Unfortunately the guys who followed me onto the ramp were slow. I pulled them all the way through it and then of course they blasted by me on the 1/2 mile straight that follows the curve. It would have been a trip if one of them had blown the doors off my car in the corner.
Yes I freely admit I am a fuck-up.Time to take my little brothers to F1 Boston.

How crazy can he be? He does ride an SV afterall!
Oh.. I just couldn't help myself.![]()

at least he warned us, right?

Hey at least I'm not one of those crazy SV riders who likes to lock up the rear to show off in the corners.
Damn I want a renegade exhaust this morning:

Look at that improvement in the mid-range!
Ben
Why not just buy a bike that puts out more HP?

touche' brah.
nice lookin' dyno. and i hear they sound great, too. do you know if that's a single or dual?

There is plenty of HP for me.
I said mid-range. I just want to get rid of the dip in the curve @4000-5000rpm.
It manifests itself as a little bit of bucking when you're cruising along.
I also just want it to sound better.
I'm pretty sure that is the single. I also believe Renegade is cheaper than a lot of the others. However they are only in the UK, and they recommend you ship your headers to them so they can cut them, or something like that.
That alone would make me get something else. I just want something quick and easy that I can do myself and make it sound better.

if i was serious about it, i'd look in the SVrider.com archives, but i think i remember seeing something about a stateside company somewhere becoming an authorized rene seller...

They must sell slip ons or full exhausts for an SV right? "Loud pipes save Lives" not to mention sound cool!
