Not that there's anything wrong with that!

    Great video!

Is that a paddle in front of his right hand? Does it have both paddles and an actual shifter? If so, why?

Also, I notice in all of my bike videos that I open and close my hands on the bars a lot... I don't even realize I am doing it, but I see that he is doing it on the steering wheel too.

I used to do that all the time too, and still catch myself doing it occasionally. I chock it up to my subconscious just making sure I'm staying light on the bars since I had a habit of tensing up.

If it was an automatic, those would indeed be paddle shifters (there's one on both sides of the steering wheel). Since this one is a manual, the only purpose they serve is to toggle the "automatic rev matching" function on and off.

When I saw this the other day all I could think was "it's too fucking bad I'll never have any relevant reason to repost this anywhere" and then I come across this thread....

A 7:16 lap really is bonkers. OEM Goodyears, too, apparently (yeah, I know they're not average OEM tires).
