The bucket trap works great on a number of little shits. A cheap BB/pellet gun can easily take care of chipmunks & squirrels. The boy uses a Daisy 880 Powerline with Crosman Destroyer .177 pellets. He makes short work of the chipmunks & squirrels around the yard. Back when our road was occupied by cool people, the neighbors would have him come clean up their yards too.

He was even picking off the squirrels & chipmunks when they were robbing our (legal) bait pile one day when larger game traffic was slow during hunting season. He was whacking those bastard at about 50 yards!

Arms race in the animal kingdom. Cats were getting lazy. The prey had to step it up.

I do this with the mice at the cabin. no food, just that last swim. the decaying odor is also contained between going up to the cabin.

could try this... may it works.
