Usually I just put a 4 inch target ay 100 Yards and hit it. I tried Wolf HP, Golden Tiger, Tula, Red Army , Wolf Military and even tried the expensive Hornady SST and the best of all was Golden Tiger then Wolf HP.

Ok here's the dealy, stopped at Coyote Creek, no need for C&R FFL, that is only if you want it shipped directly to you, (in NH anyway) just have it shipped to Coyote Creek, they will do the transfer, I will just have to go thru the normal NICS process when I pick up the gun

They in fact advised against getting a C&R, that are taking 9 months to a year by their sources, but most noteworthy, it's an invitation for BATF to come into your home and review you gun log, and inventory your guns

I'll pay Coyote Creek their $35 transfer fee thank you

Had a C&R nearly 20 years. The only person I know who got a visit had an M14 receiver which had not been “demilitarized.” They didn’t look at his Bound Book, or any of his modern firearms.

    BATFE is kind of busy.....

That’s how I do it, except I have it sent to one of the dozens of private FFL’s in my area and arrange for a convenient pick up time. Buds online site makes it super easy, they list all of the approved FFL in your zip, you just click one and done. Very slick.

Coyote Creek is about as convienent as it gets, only takes a few minutes to get there, the staff knows me, many have been clients, there's a FFL right in town, but he's a total asshole

I did FFL with a guy I found his contact for on the internet. We met at his house, stepped over his kids' toys into the dining room, where he cleared a space for us to fill out the paperwork. Cake of piece.

They can only look at the C&R eligible guns you bought since you acquired the License.

I have had one for better that 12 years and they have never so much as sent me a letter.

I in fact just placed the order a few moments ago, Classic Firearms that had crates yesterday, is out of stock today, I ordered from Red Star Surplus, Southern Ohio Gun also has them, but Red Star made the purchase smoother

One thing I noticed while on Gunbroker, is that the dealers that have em, list the scabs that have missing items on Gunbroker, the one I am getting is complete,
    Tube cleaning kit
    Soviet ammo pouches
Soviet round "WH" marked dual compartment oiler
    Leather sling
    Flip up phosphor night sight
    Flip up grenade launcher sight
    Non-ported grenade launcher
    Square retaining ring
    Blade type bayonet
    Adjustable gas Ssystems
    Rubber butt pad

No doubt, they have bigger fish to fry,

my concern is when they run out of fish....... will be when that "assault" weapon may actually become useful

I had a BATF license to manufacture fuel alcohol at one time, just became a pia to file reports, I decided to discontinue operations

Ya, there only suppose to look at your C&R weapons, but once they have their foot in the door, anything in plain sight is fair game to inspect

I'd rather just keep em out entirely, AND not have to remember renewal time

Don't buy it. None of those ever work properly. Even the extended duckbill ones aren't reliable.

I have seen widely mixed reviews, generally attributed to the loose tolerances of the weapon itself, not the mag, so sounds like a $79.95 gamble

Wondering about the plastic mags from ProMag or Tapco, any experience ?

How bout the steel HiTech mags from DC Engineering, made in US......big $$$$ compared ProMag or Tapco, or even the South Korean drums.

a 60 rnd HiTech duck mag is $235, 40 rnd ProMags can be had for $19.95

got looking at the HiTech website a little closer last night, prices are 2 for 1, so not as bad as I thought. Also, they want to know which SKS, they make the mags for Russian, Chinese, and Yugoslavian each slighly different for fit to that particular version

apparently that is reason for poor mag fit

I intended to get in on the buy and purchase together, ya donkey! Meh, I'm bringing my niece to Coyote Creek Friday to get her outfitted for a bow. I'll kick some tires while I'm there.

no discounts unless you buy a whole crate

my tracking # says my SKS will be delivered to Coyote Creek by 8:00pm Thursday, so sounds like I will be making a trip on Friday as well

We should be getting there between 2:00-3:00

    I didn't suspect a discount, BTW.
