I'm sniffin' around for a Cayman, as well. But if a 911 happened to come along......

People have this thing for keeping the miles low but I'm going to aim to rack up over 200k when I get one of these. Hard miles.

It will be nice to keep the truck in the garage for once.
That’s the best. How’s the headroom?

Lada started when they hired Fiat to build a factory for the 124 sedan in the 70’s. It was originally the export name.

Scarcity is the only reason. The parent company is now owned Renault.

dealer called and left a message offering an extended warranty, but not a price drop. this is a one owner lease return. 2017 with 38K on the clock. body is immaculate and the interior looks just slightly used. it's loaded with features and has the xdrive so I wouldn't have to garage it in the winter. it will split time with my truck as a daily driver so the miles are no concern whatsoever. the price seems fair based on the few comps out there, it's just that I am not the type to jump at the first positive search result - especially since I am in no hurry. What do you think?

oh, he did say they did the brakes and put new tires on it....

It's a sellers market right now.

That said, those cars aren't exactly a dime a dozen either. If you find a used one in the right condition for the right price you might kick yourself for waiting.

I went the CPO route and bought the extended warranty and maintenance plan. Dunno if I made out or not but I definitely feel better about it.

Mark is right though, I had to hunt the car I wanted down and it was reflected in the price.

Went out and tested the Audi S3 for comparison sake. Both drive and brake incredibly. The Audi cabin felt much posher and sedan-like. The M240 interior, while hardly Spartan, seemed much more business-like. Oddly, there was no real comfortable position for my left arm in the S3 - the distance from the seat to the arm rest didn't fit my frame. It wouldn't be comfortable for me on a long ride. Now I have to go back and sit in the BMW again.

As an aside, when rain turns to snow and you stomp the S3, it gets squirrely and results in a pucker moment.

That's probably got more to do with the tires that are spec'ed on these trims than the car itself.

Probably most to do with my driving!

Looked at every BMW dealership in NE and only found two non-convertible M240s. Makes me rethink my strategy. Called the dealer and asked if he had any wiggle room - said he didn't think so but he would ask.

    Re: AlphaCars of Spencer MA

Finally got tags for the m235i I picked up last week. This is a crazy fun car to drive: steering is super light, turns like it's on rails and takes off like a rocket (and I haven't even done the whole "launch control" thing yet). I can't ride bikes anymore so this feels like the next best thing.

    Is it xdrive?

Get the jb4 tuner and an intake. Tuner works great with the blue tooth and the gauges are nice to have.

Intake does nothing but add turbo noise, so it's the most important thing to get haha.

Launch control is super easy. Just have it in sport plus and the trans in sport, push brake and floor the gas. It's just a Rev limiter really but you get some cool checkered flags in the display. Glad you love it. I still love mine.

MHD is the new standard in tuning. The JB4 is kinda old school and not too many people are going with that anymore.

MHD is a flash and JB4 is a piggyback. Both have benefits and draw backs.

Yayyyy turning off on the way to the dealer ship for service. When I'm outta warranty I'll either sell the car or buy a ton of go fast stuff and do a BEF from a tuner.

Eww piggyback is right. I think the dealers can still tel it’s been messed with even if you pull it out.

On another note, have I mentioned how good and underrated the 135 is? I’m genuinely curious how it compares to a 2 series, not on paper, but behind the wheel.

thoughts on the M stripes on the nose? I am having my front bumper patched and resprayed so I could have this done. Mine is "glacier gray", aka silver, and I think this might look good.AlphaCars of Spencer MA-stripes-jpg

I prefer the M stripes on the grille. Just 3 slats, it’s subtle but a nice touch.

This is the perfect type of situation for a trial run with vinyl, in my opinion...
