I use a wheelbarrow, but that might actually be easier...hmm.

Yeah it’s better than a wheelbarrow, especially at fitting thru the door to get in the house. The metal that was welded to the blue hand truck was salvaged from a harbor freight firewood dolly that fell apart (shockingly, right?) but this design is much better anyway. You need some muscle to get it up the step into the house when it’s fully loaded, that’s kinda the limiting factor to how much you can put on there but I like how easy it is to prewarm the pieces before they go in the stove by putting it near the stove.

We have a two wheel wheelbarrow, but it doesn’t fit through the door.

Guess we will have to wait for Imbeek to weld up one that hooks over one of the crossbars so it’s removable. That truck is usually $50-55 so $40 is as good as it gets.

Given how often firewood needs to be loaded, compared to moving other things with hand trucks, I’m surprised both removable firewood attachments for hand trucks AND purpose built handtrucks for firewood aren’t much, much more common.

Big oil collusion, maybe?!? (Jus kiddin, for crying out loud!)

I have a walk in basement with a standard size door. Wheelbarrow fits through the door. I store all my wood inside. Easier than throwing from the truck into the basement and then picking up and stacking to just wheel it in and stack.
