    bobcat in my driveway.

I pretty much share in the view that they're not around these parts. If they were, I highly doubt people would be seeing 'em in rural areas. I think people sometimes see something and in the rush of the moment THINK they saw something that isn't really what they saw...

Mountain lions are pretty damn big, even females. And they're incredibly territorial. Yes, they travel in wind ranges from they're home 'territory', but venturing to rural areas is highly unlikely. Other than their size, they look remarkably like house cats...

Judging by the pic, I'm still saying it's some class of Lynx. Looks a bit big to be a 'bobcat', but too small to be a Mountain Lion. It looks like it's got shaggy fur and a short tail, which I believe are two traits NOT shared by Mountain Lions...

It looks to me like it might be a fisher cat. Those stupid things are EVERYWHERE in Vermont. I have no idea what their scientific name is, they might be some kind of lynx.

Just dont let your small dog or cat outside, or that fucker will eat it in short order.

Fisher Cats look more like vermin. They don't look anything like a 'cat'. They kinda look likek giant weasels. And it's HIGHLY unlikely you'd see a Fisher during the day. In fact, we have 'em all around us and I've NEVER seen one in daylight. And you don't wanna get anywhere near wunna them (Fisher Cats). They're small, but they're INCREDIBLY ferocious. Around my house, you can hear 'em screaming at night, more so in the Spring. Their screaming almost sounds like a small girl getting murdered. It's eerie as hell...

But it's definitely NOT a Fisher Cat...
