Where can I buy a chest freezer before the weekend?

Looking to purchase a five or seven cubic foot freezer before the weekend. Seems most places that sell them online donít carry them in store. Is there somewhere Iím overlooking?

Not knowing where you live makes it hard to help.

Specialist appliance outfits like Tri City Sales, Sozio’s, Yale etc. likely have them.

Thanks guys. I called Home Depot about a specific one and they said it was an online special which had been in line with everything else I had heard, but I found a store with a brand over never heard of so I’m just gonna go with that

Walmart usually carries the Danby line in store, in stock.

On second thought... the ones Home Depot carry are Magic Chef? The reviews are horrible, three stars with half the reviews saying it won’t even get down to temp, won’t seal etc.

Why would you carry in store a cheap item with horrible reviews? Why not carry one GE or Frigidaire?

You know you can check stock on almost any website right? Lowes, HD, Walmart and you can also use brickseek.com

Any of those sites will let you browse in stock inventory for any store within like 100 miles. I'd honestly trust that over someone getting paid minimum wage to go look and see if a not so common item is in stock.

Apparently the best thing to do is cut up a corpse into six pieces and pile it all together. And when you got your six pieces, you gotta get rid of them, because it's no good leaving it in the deep freeze for your mum to discover, now is it? Then I hear the best thing to do is feed them to pigs. You got to starve the pigs for a few days, then the sight of a chopped-up body will look like curry to a pisshead. You gotta shave the heads of your victims, and pull the teeth out for the sake of the piggies' digestion. You could do this afterwards, of course, but you don't want to go sievin' through pig shit, now do you? They will go through bone like butter. You need at least sixteen pigs to finish the job in one sitting, so be wary of any man who keeps a pig farm. They will go through a body that weighs 200 pounds in about eight minutes. That means that a single pig can consume two pounds of uncooked flesh every minute. Hence the expression, "as greedy as a pig."

There's a Sears outlet on rt 9 in Framingham I believe it is. They deal in scratch and dent, returns, old stock, etc. Right across from the old Triumph dealership. I've bought things there in the past and have had good luck, the 20yo dryer I have is still going.

We have this Magic Chef mini fridge behind our bar: 4.5 cu. ft. Compact Refrigerator - Refrigerators - Kitchen

Going on 13 years now. While it certainly keeps our beer incredibly cold and the freezer can freeze things in a heartbeat, it's incredibly loud for what it is when the compressor kicks on. We've tried a bazillion things to try to suppress the noise, but nothing seems to work. Anyone who's ever crashed on our couch can attest to just how incredibly fuckin' annoying it is.

While we've gotten incredible service & reliability from it, we'd never get another Magic Chef simply because of that. Unfortunately, I'm the type of guy that likes to let things run out their service life before we replace it - as you can tell from my lawnmower thread. And as in that thread, I'm just waiting for the day that thing dies.

    specialty item,

usually the smallest ones I see in Home Depot or Lowes are 10-12 cubic feet, and probably for only $10 more than the size you are looking for

I totally forgot about Best Buy, they carry Insignia which has a lot better reviews than the brand Home Depot carries.

that's good to hear...this spring i just picked up a 4.4cf magic chef mini fridge without a freezer for my attached garage...seems to keep my beers cold enough out there...never notice the noise cause since it's in the garage plus i live next to a highway and a main road
