    Car Bluetooth audio troubleshooting

So my car (2013 Mazda 3) today decided to act up.
I have the Bose package with 9 speakers. It was actually one of the main reasons I bought the car since my previous car had no music. Anyways today I drive and as usual I turn on pandora. Sound seems to come up only from the passenger side. Hmm that's weird. Shut down the app try again. Same thing. Shut off the phone try again same thing. Hmmm maybe it's Pandor right? Let's play something from YouTube. No luck. Let's play something from music stores on the phone. Same. Let's play an audiobook. Nothing. Did I burn my speakers? Doubt it. Turn on FM all speakers work just fine. AM same everything's fine. CD just fine. So there's something with the audio Bluetooth and/or my fine. Couldn't find anything in the manual or online to troubleshoot it further.

First you screw, then you bolt.

If it's not the mono setting like golden chicken mentioned it could be the Bluetooth drivers on your phone. I remember updates to phones can sometimes mess up the connection to your car. Especially if the drivers don't support older Bluetooth hardware.

It's an iPhone 7. No software update since 10.3.3 (5 months ago or longer). Why all of a sudden ?

Yeah if you haven't updated then that theory goes out the window.

Try pairing a different phone with the car to see if it's your phone or the car.

And delete the pairing on both the car, and phone, then re-pair it fresh.

That's what I ended up doing. Seems to be working fine now. Not sure if disconnecting the car battery did anything too.
