My coworker has this lift : https://www.naautoequipment.com/UNI-...k-autolift.htm

He loves it, uses the crap out of it. He has a 4-post as well that he uses for storage.

I wish I had the budget or space.

My lift showed up today, it was a bit of a shitshow with a delivery company that didnít follow instructions.. lol I was supposed to pick it up where my driveway meets the town road, but the guy drove down my narrow winding 2,600í driveway with a 53í trailer truck!

Now itís just a matter of setting it up.

I was sceptical as well with the price, mind you it cost an extra $349.00 in shipping to get it here.
I plan on setting it up Saturday, initial thoughts just unpacking it, it seems pretty well built.
My only concern is the anchor bolt size, they are 3/4 x 4.5". I think I'm going to replace them with 3/4 x 8" for piece of mind.

How thick is your concrete? I would not go completely thru, or do you have 10" thick concrete ?

The slab is 8-10” in the bay with the lift. The mounting plate for the lift is 1” thick, plus the nut and washer add another inch, so 8” fastener gets a max of 6” embedment. The original fasteners would have been less than 3” embedment.

my concrete is about the same, minimum 8", and a little deeper where a lift would be positioned, good planning, those 4Ĺ" bolts are for floors that were not planned, I suppose

It was easier than I expected to install it, took about 6 hours by myself. It would have been easier with a second person, I spent quite a bit of time rigging and hoisting the 2 posts off the ridge beam.
Iím waiting now on the electrical hook up, a buddy is coming over tomorrow to wire it up. Should be good to go once it has power.

Looks awesome. If you're anything like I am, you'll love it, but it'll take you longer to get the car up on the lift than it would on jack stands. My problem is I spend too much time trying to get the lift points perfect and symmetrical...

That's a fact. If you're putting the same vehicles up on it all the time you'll get quicker at it. It's when you're putting different vehicles on it that it starts taking longer. You could almost do an oil change on ramps quicker than it takes to get the vehicle up on the lift.

that's why professional quick change places use pits

Exactly, or that's when a 4 post lift is better.

The point of the lift is to get yourself off the ground and so a few extra minutes is time well spent!

    Scissor quick lifts are underrated.

I've known a guy who had one level with the floor in his garage (cut the holes out for the pads) and it was quite useful and didn't take up room with the beams.

Yes it has its limitations but between cost and quickness and lack of beams it also had its advantages.

Works with bikes as a bonus too

By the time you kneel on the floor a bunch of times going side to side making adjustments to the arms you'd be on the ground less using a creeper on ramps.

You people find the most trivial shit to argue about. I don't really know what to say if your justification for not having a 2 post lift is because you can change your oil faster with ramps.

Oh believe me, I like two post lifts. I'm just saying that there's some jobs that just aren't worth the effort to put a vehicle on them. My current view.

So sweet. What's most surprising to me is the price, now the only limiting factor is the garage height, unfortunately that's a tough one for me to do anything about but a man can dream!
