That looks pretty neat. What are the details behind that setup?
Does it say "MOHAWK" on it? I'm guessing this company, but now obsolete? Don't see anything similar on their website.
I'm not sure if they still sell them. Model is Mohawk TSL-7
Quick search finds others that are like that too

Looks like that style of lift is fairly hard to come by here in the US. I see posts about group buys slow boated from China and a bunch of hits from Europe. But not much available here. And what is available is decent money (~$2-3k). I gather that build thread is your buddy? Searching that model number hits that build in a couple different forums. Lots of comments about "didn't know they made that kind of lift" and such.
I wonder if it is a liability thing here in the US.
Must be some drainage headaches with that too.
Speaking of drains. Are garage drains some sort of no-no code or permitting wise? I see some mentions of them in garage projects in rural areas.

That looks like a pain in the ass to install / uninstall all the time. It isn't exactly cheap. And it still doesn't give you much lift.
The exciting thing about a mid-lift scissor lift like discussed here is it is completely recessed but ready to go all the time.
And that it can double as a bike lift table. That's cool. I would totally recess a bike lift.
my step son wants one of these I am trying to make him see the light... i did get him to build his garage with a high celling and bigger door. But he doesn't like the posts being up full time? I showed him the recess scissor lift option. He's rethinking it! My concrete floor is slabs and every uneven so I am 100% sure it would be a pain For me to do.. Even if I had the celling height.. need a fourth bay i guess....
I assume you found his thread by searching for the model. I didn't even realize he had a garage journal build thread.
I think it's a great lift overall.
As far as drains it's a very mixed message between different areas.
Last I've looked I've heard of residential places being okay with it with no caveats, some places wanted traps etc setup and some places are an absolute no go.
Final alternative I've personally seen is houses not too old having a collector hole/drain grate. No outside drain connected but obviously allowed to be as is. Snow water slush just collects and evaporates more than likely.
I'm so happy for this thread. Definitely need to add this to the plan for next house. Looks awesome.
What is that going on?
I totally agree but...
