I'm pretty sure Oxx plays one Abraham Ford on a certain hit AMC series.

Dani I feel for you that you got the short end of what appears to be a shitty scam and that it took quite some time to get it (thankfully) resolved.

That being said, we now have maybe not ALL information on what happened, but enough to form opinions on what happened. I'm not sure how other members feel but my initial sympathy I felt for your situation is dwindling with every petty post you make in order to stoke the fire. Not intending this to be an attack on you, just trying to make you aware that you're bringing this down to a fairly adolescent level.

Thank you for pointing out what happened to you, and bringing awareness to the forum, however I do believe your goal has been achieved.

That being said, ( snide comments) are lowering my sympathy for you..
Johnny. I commented above to keep track of link of this thread...farmer trying to navigate a new forum the easiest way.

The above comment was actually in response to Jim saying that Dove took an award from rookie racers. Racing novice is one thing, std rules in many associations. But to accept the championship from Kids and true beginner racers? A complete lack of integrity and honor which is the core of this thread.
Plus, a slap in the face to true racers.

Hence giving himself awards. PM me a better way to be subscribed than commentary and I'll do it, but honestly, after about a dozen "thanks but we don't want you here Ca", who wants to be here anyway? So unwelcoming
Not sure how Jackies comment - which is hilarious- is all good, but mine was not on topic. Ah well.

Aw c'mon..... don't play the victim card twice. Getting pissed off about getting Doved is completely understandable, but don't start this "fine, I know when I'm not wanted" crap.

My assumption is that Dove demoted himself to a beginner racer when in fact he's been racing for a while..
the backstory to that was he was awarded Rookie of the Year in 2014 in our local race series. It's designed for true rookies with no previous race experience. There was an upcoming young rider (age 14) who's very well liked in the paddock and has a great family support in the sport and series. He should have been awarded it, instead of someone who competed in this series with an expert race license in CA.

If this is true, and even if it were permissible under the local rules, it is the most damning evidence of his character I have read yet.

Re: Character Feedback - Chris Dove

whats baffling about that is this. in order to get a race license you have to to a class like penguin. this class is not free. so why would anyone willingly pay for a class that they have already taken with another organization? he couldve easily applied for a LRRS license and used his WERA license as evidence to having had taken the class and at the very least started as an AM if not as an EX like he was out west.

It's true. The last go 'round with vanson's pattern of late product delivery stemmed from the free suit he won as ROTY.

Maybe next semester I'll take a stats class at the local community college so that I can get the highest marks in the class and feel better about myself.

Or else, like Kramer from Seinfeld, I'll start taking karate with small children so I can "dominate the dojo"

Re: Character Feedback - Chris Dove

I'm not passing judgement on him for accepting the award. If there's a promising 14yo out there making a name, obviously his parents can afford to have him compete. Plus, at 14, how long is he going to be able to wear a free suit before he outgrows it?
As a former shoestring racer, I don't know what I'd have done (even though I put the whole raffle prize back into the hornbecker fund. Toot-toot, that's the sound of my horn)

Sandbagging is a huge pet peeve of mine, regardless. But as I recall, it didn't take the dude only one round to bump.
