    Cleaning/polishing hardwood floors?

A friend of mine recommended using the Orange Glo hardwood floor cleaner kit for my hardwood floors.
Orange Glo Hardwood Floor Kit - Cleaning Hardwood Floors

When I first moved into my new place I used it on the floor and it seemed to be a decent product (until it dried). Next day when the sun was up I noticed the hardwood floors had a hazy residue that was not present before. After I noticed that I stopped using the product and threw it out.

Now i've tried Pine Sol, and Murphy's Oil to clean the floors. They clean the floors nice but I still can't get rid of the hazy residue left by the fu*king Orange Glo. It's faded slightly since I've been using Murphy's Oil.

Anyone have this happen before, or know of a way to get this annoying residue to go away? It's such an eye sore when the sun shines on the floor.

Mop n' Glo for linoleum (not their wood floor product, use their kitchen floor product). You're welcome.

I've heard a few people swear by vinegar and water. You mix some vinegar with warm water, and after soaking your sponge mop in the bucket, you squeaze as much water as you can out, and you clean up your floors. Definitly never leave water on hardwood floors, the sponge of your mop need to be "damp", not "wet".

I tried putting pure murphy oil on the floor, and buffed it in. It completely got rid of the haze. Boy do I have a time consuming project ahead of me!

Murphy oil on hardwoods is VERY slipery. My father washed the floors in the living room once with that and you could hardly walk on them...and the poor dog couldn't get up after she slipped and fell.

When I bought my hardwood floors, I asked what the best cleaning method was and like V said, vinegar and water is what they said to use, they also said add a couple drops of citrus to cut the smell
