All mid engine cars have that in their design to keep people from looping the backyards into trees.

I have fond memories of MR2 and Elises spinning like tops at autocross events!

....and Ford should consider doing that with the Mustang, especially the ones leaving Cars and Coffee events...

I suspect if you just start driving it she'll develop a new interest in it. If not at least you have some fun and the car doesn't waste away in storage.

mr2 and elise in a way different situation than a p car. The wheel bases are SHORT. The mr-s is like 14 inches shorter than the porsche, the elise is a full 17 lol. That stuff makes a big difference.

    Nice!

I just got to do a ride along in a mid-engined vette. It was a strange experience. The passenger pod is kinda bizarre. There is this angled bar that apparently holds some gauges for the driver and essentially separated the passenger from the driver. THe thing was at neck height for me and made me feel like I wasn't really supposed to be in this car. I's almost a 1 seater! The track was wet, but the car still had brutal acceleration and stopping power plus zero understeer. It was incredibly tail happy though, even on trailing throttle. It felt more like a rear engine as the car seemed pretty hard to control once it stepped out. The driver was not super experienced, and the car was borrowed. Neverthelss he had it sideways 4-5 times a lap. Thank god for the nannies.

It was raining and we had to have the windows open. Water literally poured off the roof into my lap. This car has made a distinct departure from the practical and is in purely supercar territory.

That's fuckin' awesome! Pure sex. Congrats! Big Shirl has been talking about adding a newer Corvette to the garage. Fingers crossed.

Take your thumbs up back. I ordered it on carvana and even had it insured, and despite the fact that carvana gives you 15 min to either accept or reject delivery, and seven days to cancel “for any reason”, I sat in my brothers friends ‘15 z06 convertible and my head was pressed firmly against the rag top.

So I sought out a coupe at a dealership which had the clear roof, which is thinner than the body color matched top of the one I ordered, and my head was still a sneeze away from hitting the thinner roof.

That and I kicked the bottom of the door trying to get in and had to pull my left leg into it with me hand on my knee.

I thought they were a little bigger than that.

Apparently the C7 is tighter than the C6, which is tighter than the C5, but then the C4 is pretty cramped? So maybe a C5 is the roomiest gen?

But I’m just going with I don’t fit.

Yeah, Corvettes aren't known for being roomy. I'm only 5'6" with a 30" inseam and the seat doesn't have much more room to move back.

    Re: corvettes

Ive sat in them all. C5 is by far the best for me space wise. C4 is a close second. The newer ones are just layed out a little to odd for me to get comfy. C3 is too narrow for two people really but i fit in it ok.

The C3's are kind of pathetic. Always loved the stance and the "coke bottle" body lines of the early & late C3's. But they really squeezed shit in there.

Hahaha! Nope, not I. I purposely never try to project myself as a big dude, because...well, I'm not. I'm just a balding, portly, short dude.

That's unfortunate. Being medium sized through and through, fitting into the world has never been a problem.

Cars, bikes, houses all work without limitation. Not fitting into a full size car like a Corvette is baffling to me.

I like my small cars and bikes
