I had both. I like Fubo better. Last season was a little disappointing for Motorcycle racing, but that's because of NBC Sports, not the streaming service. I use Fubo for football season and Sling the other months.

Well, I just cut the cord... Upgraded to gigabit interwebz.
Probably going Fubo due to NESN. Not saving nearly as much as I had hoped, but so it goes.

didnt want to start a new thread. we are moving to a fairly larger home and it looks like I will be needing to upgrade my router to include our new coverage area.
I was looking at the EERO mesh wifi systems. My friend has them and is overall happy with it.
    Any other suggestions/recommendations?
as a reminder I am smart home junkie (12 cameras, 5 thermostats, multiple tablets, laptops, phones, etc).
    Internet provider is spectrum (400mbps)

I have installed a couple of Orbi setups for my in-laws. Very big houses with tons of devices connected, and never had a problem.

We've had Fubo for some time now. I gotta say, I MUCH prefer YTTV and may be switching back soon. Looking to see if I can add NESN as a stand-alone.

For NESN, I just stream it off NESN.com and use my parent's FIOS login.

Unfortunately, Spectrum (my ISP) has some costomer-wide issue w/ NESN streaming and it KEEPS... ON... STUTTERING... every few minutes. Drives me insane, but it's the only way I can watch the Bruins right now.

Not long ago, one could only stream NESN if they had a cable provider. I was just poking around on the NESN site and they now seem to have the stand-alone for streaming. I'ma gonna try setting that up tonight. If it goes well, ba-bye to Fubo and YTTV gets a customer back.

I started with YTTV went to Hulu then back to YTTV. Price changes were the reasons but like YTTV better anyways.

I almost thought NESN was on one of those but didnít really watch it anyways.

Unfortunately Spectrum is really the only ISP/Cable provider for Worcester... they basically have a monopoly on the whole city so I just have a $50/mo 100mbps plan with them.

So with that, we've got Amazon Prime Video, and I occasionally stream what we can via my parents FIOS account and my brother's YouTubeTV account.

Can you update on how you make out with nesn? I recently demoed YTTV and found out they no longer support any regional sports networks. Nesn does have an apple TV app but they don't have any information on if there is live sports or any cost. I wouldn't mind paying for it to watch new England sports but if it's going to be one of those apps that just show random highlight clips it's useless to me.

I'll absolutely give an update. FWIW - I read somewhere that most streaming TV services will be dropping regional sports channels because of their expense.

I think it's already happened but I'm not positive. When I did the YTTV trial and found nesn was no longer supported, I started searching around and read about the RSNs being dropped from streaming in favor of being put back into traditional cable TV packages.

FUBO currently carries NESN. But it's not enough to make me want to stay with them. As soon as I figure out the NESN thang, we're back to YTTV.

I'll be patiently awaiting your review. We've been on Sling for at least 4 years. It's crept up to 90$ although we have some of the add on packages. Youtube is 15$ cheaper per month and has a better selection of kids channels and sports, plus the live news stations at the cheaper price. Sling also recently redesigned their guide and it's frustrating as hell to use with an Apple TV remote.

I still have Fubo and still liking it. YTTV is running a special....3 months for $59.99 for new customers. If the special is still there at the end of the month, I am going to jump on it.

Not sure if you'll saw, but NBC Sports (which carried MOTO GP, some WSBK and some MOTOAMERICA has moved to USA (which Fubo has).

I hate the Orbi (AX4200) with a passion. Can't wait to ditch it and don't recommend it for slightly advanced users/uses. e.g. if you want separate SSIDs, any sort of adv admin control, useful logging, etc...: look elsewhere IMO.

So far it sucks. Did the whole sign-up rigmarole Friday and it seemed "okay". Even though we currently still have Fubo, I wanted to log into the NESN app and watch the game Saturday that way to get a feel. It wanted me to do the whole sign-up procedure again (scan this barcode, punch in this number, wait for email, etc), only to be met with a steady flow of ERROR every time I tried it. It also wanted me to associate my account with a cable provider or a streaming service that offered it in their package. So to this point, I'm not having much luck with it.

Yeah, they were pretty good about notifying everyone about that. Still not sure it's enough to make us stay with Fubo though. I can't really put my finger on it, but we both don't like it. And we both feel YTTV was a much better platform.

Anyone have issues with your stream freezing during a commercial, that's not a commercial, but the screen says "Commercial Break In Progress"??

I've got att DirecTV stream, works pretty well 95% of the time, but about 4-5 months ago they started replacing commercials with the "CommBrkInProg" screen for the local ads they don't show. The problem starts when the commercial break ends, sometimes OK, sometimes "CommBrkInProg" screen stays & you hear the volume of the show that's back but no pic, OR sometimes the "CommBrkInProg" screen stay for 15 minutes with no sound.

So curious if it happens with other stream services, only DirecTV stream, or perhaps only on MY stream due to Roku issue etc.

If I switch channels it will come back.

Yes. While not as bad as yours, be it YTV or Fubo, occasionally the broadcast commercials don't entirely align with the "commercial breaks" on the streaming TV service. But it's usually only off by seconds, maybe a minute or two. We noticed it more when we were using YTTV, but it does happen with Fubo as well (on Roku sets).

I believe it's due to national commercials getting replaced by regional commercials on the streaming end, or vice versa. We do like how they put up a small graphic letting you know it's "x of x" commercials though.
