Probably the 5kw generator he says his wife can't pull start

Or just go with any of the clones that are just as good for half the $.

The B&S Q6500 is an inverter with 240V output, 4,800 W running. They are quite inexpensive for that category at around $1,200. They are fairly portable, but manual-start only. We got that one in Boston for a simple reason: in 22 years we’ve had a total of three hours without power and two of them were scheduled in advance.

Our electrician neighbor charged us $700 for the hookup (to code) we have a heavy duty cable so we can keep it behind the house.

Yamaha has the EF6300, about $4,000. Honda has the fuel-injected EU7000 at around $4,500. Or you can buy a construction generator, much cheaper, much louder, much more thirsty.

You've got chinese big inverters on the market now like: https://www.amazon.com/iPower-SUA800.../dp/B082WM1TY3 Approx $2000 to get into them.
