    New England Vacation suggestions HELP!

So... The wife and I are looking to do a local vacation Valentines day week Feb 9th-16th or so.

Anyone have any romantic getaway reccomendations?

Looking for a Spa type with some sightseeing. Don't really wanna go to Canada and it has to be driving distance from Burlington (8-10 hours)

Before you ask why we don't go south... she doesn't like to fly and doesn't want to be far from home if she starts getting morning sickness

Gonna be trying for a baby!!

    Lots of the secks!!

I like the Idea of NH because if we go shopping NO taxes.

    Also thinking maybe Atlantic City?

Re: New England Vacation suggestions HELP!

The Balsams looks nice but at over $340 a night and we are thinking 7 nights... Ouch. (talking about maybe doing 4 nights instead)

The New England Inn is nice as well, we like the Log Cabins. $215 a night

We have been to a place called Le Grande Lodge in Canada Le Grand Lodge Mont Tremblant Hotel and Resort Spas, ski, golf Laurentides Quebec Canada (I know, not in New England).
It is nice and near Mt. Tremblant, only $200 a night...

    Gotta decide soon.

Manchester, VT is nice to visit. If you want to stay local and don't mind spending money - try the Pitcher Inn in Warren, VT.

I know you said "no Canada" but Winterlude in Ottawa is a great time. The Richleau Canal is frozen for 3 miles of ice skating. Ice carving, music, etc. Definately stay at the Westin, and request a room overlooking the canal. They have a nice indoor fitness center and saltwater pool, and the hotel is attached to a large mall if you feel the need to spend money. Good food and lots to look at within walking distance if you need to come up for air.

I've been to the Balsams a couple times, definately good eats, hotel is very old, modern conveniences have been retrofitted, it's out in the middle of nowhere, an hour or more drive to any shopping unless you get excited about going to LL.Cote in downtown Errol, say hi to Luke for me

$340/day isn't bad when you compare the service you get to a hospital room

I have to recommend Portland, ME

Re: New England Vacation suggestions HELP!

You might consider New Hyde Park and New Paltz. I am planning a trip with the wife this spring as a result of a motorcycle ride I led this summer. Stay here Hudson Valley Resorts & New York State Hotel Accommodations – Mohonk Mountain House and do day trips to New Hyde Park for the Vanderbuilt Mansion Vanderbilt Mansion National Historic Site (U.S. National Park Service) and Roosevelt House and Museum. The CIA (Cullinary Institute of America Culinary Institute of America Restaurants-The Culinary Institute of America) is also in New Hyde Park. New Paltz is a cool college town with lots of funkly little restaurants too. And just outside of town are the 'Gunks'...one of the top rock climbing areas in the North East. Depending on when you get there you may find somd ice climbing.

    My 2 cents...!

You can stay in my barn for a couple of nights. The floor is uneven and it's cold but that just makes you want to fuck more to stay warm and the uneven floor provides for more positions. You might be able to get my cats to lick your balls when you're fuckin too.....and it's cheaper than any of the other places you've looked....
