    Eye problem...

This is a long shot but eh, I could be lucky. Since MANY weeks, I've had problems with my right eyelid. I don't know what's going on, but it keeps flicking (kinda like little contractions, spasms or twitching?), and I have no control whatsoever over the sporadic movements it makes. My husband said that if he actually pays attention and look at it, knowing what it's doing, that he will notice it's moving, but otherwise, it is unoticeable to everyone. It freakin ANNOYS the hell out of me!!! The eye doctor couldn't find anything related to my eye and couldn't offer anything. It does it for long periods of time thru the day and evening, and seems to be getting worse little by little over time.

Has anyone had this happen to them? I hate visits to the doctor and would rather avoid it, but at this point, I think I might have to go whether I like it or not.

    Like a 'twitch'? `

Well...if I wanted legal advice I'd ask a lawyer. Not a bunch of sportbike yahoos! Same goes for medical advice...cept I'd ask a doctor!

If I want to know how to do a wheelie I'd post it here!

    Get to a doc...that's what they're for.

Mine does this from time to time but it goes away and its definitely not an everyday things. Dr said its just a muscle spasm.

    Re: Eye problem...

Simple muscle twitches are usually a result of insufficient electrolytes in your body which can usually be fixed by adjusting your diet. Since your twitches are getting progressively worse, it's time to go see the doctor!

A good rule of thumb is any time a symptom gets progressively worse without any form of improvement, it is probably a good time to visit your PCP.

Well, my husband could say "yes" to that question (the hearing) but I will say "no". LOL No dizziness. Have had more headaches than usual lately, altho this is nothing new to me, had them since I was a child.

I made a search on Google for "eyelid spasms" and I found "Bell's Palsy"...hmm...

Anyway, I'm glad to see I'm not the only one with this problem, altho for most of you seems to be nothing new...I guess I should go see the doc anyway, I've been avoiding her for a few years now...*sigh*

    Re: Eye problem...

You're not the only one. Who knows why our body does most of the crap it does...especially once we pass 30. I had the same issue 2 or 3 months ago and was bitching constantly to my wife. I did a lot of frantic internet searching (cuz I'm a freak always thinking I'm dyin' of something), and found that this often happens from stress and lack of sleep. Be kind to yourself and make sure you get 8 hours of sleep a night...or at least 7. Also, take a look at your diet to make sure you're getting your share of the good stuff.

Totally. Starts with a little muscle twitch and the next thing you know, you're reading how you're about to have a stroke or are in the early stages of some debilitating disease.

+1 But, maybe not a bad idea to visit the doc anyway. It could be a vitamin deficiency or something that you wouldn't know without going.

This is exactly what the eye doctor told me last year (less the kids part) when I went for the exact same eye twitch. I was under a lot of stress when looking for a house, dealing with banks, and a few issues at home. In my case he was right because once things started going smoother, my eye twitch went away
