Yeah, but it is not going to go over 20mph...
A friend of mine went there for company party. Had a blast. Most of the time they only accept groups, not sure about how many people you would need.

Sounds like a ton of fun. I've been wanting to go for a while.
There was a spot on TV (Iron Dreams?) about it a couple weeks ago, it looks like a really nice track.

If you have ever raced competition carts or autocross, you will be very disappointed with F1Boston. The cars are designed to bog under low vacuum, so NO powerslides and NO acceleration from a standing start. Oh, they'll slide through a corner... while you lose speed... and are unable to power through. Basically, the lighter you are, the faster you can go before it slides and the faster you will be around the track. JC... nope.
Well I've never ridden a shifter cart (seen em run though they're f'n fast) but compared to the average go cart the carts at F1 Boston are a blast! Yeah the acceleration sucks and when ya slide em through a corner they lose some speed but you can get em goin fast enough to 4wheel drift em through a few of the corners! As far as speeds I think my average speed on the two tracks was about 30mph (nothing spectacular but it was a blast none the less). Oh and for ya AA members they make you wear a bracelet saying your not drinking if ya gonna race... of course once your done racing you can drink all ya like (they have a bar and restaurant along with a few waitresses that could be working at Hooters!) WOOO HOOOLets get a list of who's up for a day or night there and when everyone can go.. and we can plan from there...
You can count me in .... sounds like fun!!
I'm in and I have 4 friends interested. Weekends, preferably late afternoon/early evening works for all of us. What was that about AA Members... I'll give 'em a fuckin band!![]()
What are we talking about for a cost? I heard you better bring at least 75 bucks with ya.
2018 Harley Road Glide
2000 Ducati 900ss
2018 Onewheel XR
Well as far as cost you can check on the website... www.f1boston.com It's 10.00 for a day license.. or 25.00 for an annual one (for those from RI that means its good for a year) then it's 25.00 I believe a race.. which is 5 practice type laps then a 10 lap race. You can bring your own full face helmet (recommended) other wise you have to wear a balaclava (to protect your head from their nasty helmets) and their helmets SUCK (the screens are all scratched up). We raced one race with only 4 of us and another race with a total of 12 people.. not sure how many they usually run on a track at a time. Everyone wears their race suits (they provide) which when you wear their helmets you can't tell one person from the other.. unless you memorize the number on the cart and I myself was too into trying to pass people to check out what number they were.. so personal helmets would help for recognition also....
Weekends are good for me too ... what about Sat. the 19th??
I can only do Saturday/Sundays... they don't let me out of the state during the week, damn electronic bracelets! I would think if we get enough people we could book the place on a Sat?
I'm not sure what size group is needed to book the place.. I'll see what I can find out though because I know they can link the two tracks together for larger groups and longer races.. read on their web site that they do 2 3 and longer HOUR endurance races! A bit too long for me to be strapped in a go cart...lol but could be fun.
OK as Gadgett's personal secretary. I got the scoop for renting the track out for a normal race it is 25 per race. with the group rate it is 850 (for track 1 the bigger of the 2) 750 (for track 2)per 1/2 hour. When I spoke to the ppl at F1 she said it seems like alot but your probably gonna get in 5-6 races because you can go early to get the 5 minute video done and than you don't have to stop and wait switch cars or anything you can just keep racing. SO the best deal is if your even going to think of racing twice get about 15 people and it will come out to 50 per person for the smaller track or 56 for the larger track and you will definetly get your money's worth. Well let chip or I know how many ppl want to go and the date and I will get it all booked....And the bad news is there not hooking the tracks up they only do it for the legue and they haven't been doing it much cause it goes outside and it has been to cold.... So that is the scoop if you post any questions I will let you know as much as I can![]()
Personal Secretary? How's the pay? I've been lookin for a new secretary, the pay's not great but the bene's are HUGE!JK
I got myself and two others, anytime on 1/19 - 1/20 or 1/26.
count me in
I've been there before, though I think my annual license just ran out. There are two tracks; country and city, and of the two, the city track is much more fun. The country track is sort of an oval with a pair of hairpins down one side. The city track is much more of a technical course with some 90 degree turns, a hairpin, a tunnel, and an uphill straight.
You don't HAVE to rent out the track for a larger group. I went with a group of 8 and we just booked a regular race on a Saturday at like 6 pm. Prime time, in other words. Renting the track could be fun, but it's expensive.
The karts are faster than the typical amusement park karts, the hit about 35 mph. The track marshal and corner workers can be a bit overzealous when it comes to bumping penalties. I mean you gotta pass on a track where all the karts hit the same speed, but some drivers can actually corner better than others. How you gonna get by? Slip under them in a corner, if they hit you, HOW IS IT MY FAULT??!! Oh, sorry. I still get riled up over that one.
They're pretty fun. I would suggest that you all pick a date, that I can go to, and just try to get yourselves all together in the same race.
It's also amazingly easy to get to, but stop at an ATM on the way. Oh, and eye candy ain't so bad, either.![]()

Sean (Ford), I'd pay money just to see you stuff your ass into wunna those little things!!!![]()
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
Ok I'm thinking second or third weekend in Feb. Any one better than the other for ya peeps? Sat or Sun?
They are tight, and my legs/knees act like vertical airfoils, but I've been known to tear up the joint!
Let the trash talk begin!! It's race time!
Oh, one other thing... at the end of the race everyone receives their printed stats; fastest lap, where you place, average speed, etc, and they individual lap stats, too.
9th or 10th is good for me... I think.![]()

HEY!! Are we doing this thing or what?? I have one stipulation... I don't want to be on the track with that Currier nutball, I'm afraid he'll t-bone me!![]()
