What I would prefer would be something along the lines of a regular cab/two door (one of the larger cabs though not the smallish ones on the Ford and Chevy trucks. Dodge/RAM cabs are fairly roomy) short or middle length bed full size pickup running at a normal car height. Think like a Ford Flex is relative to an Expedition but with a bed and two fewer doors.
New Rangers are the same size as a late 80's early 90's full size truck. There really are no options for a small or midsize truck these days. They are all either large or extra large and people call the large the mid size and the extra large the full size.
I thought reg cabs and short wheelbases were going away due to gas mpg requirements based on wheelbase.
That theory doesn’t really hold water I realize, with the two door bronco and defender coming out, but maybe they go by the longest of the model, ie the four doors?
Would you want convertible capability or no?
Or a wider Honda Element?![]()

Convertible pickups are silly LOL, Dodge Dakota Sport. How would a wider Honda Element address these needs? A Ridgeline would be closer but they are four doors and probably wouldn't look all that good with a lowered ride height.
Kinda like full size trucks. Lowered single rear wheel, short, med or long bed crew cabs don't look all that good. Drop a dually crew cab with any length bed on the frame rails though and things get drastically better in the appearance department.
No I haven’t received an email yet.
Dual top option and mod top is pushed to 22.
First editions will not be available with anything but a MIC top, so the people who ordered the mod top to match their black interior either have to settle for the carbonized gray MIC, or “pick another series”.
I’m really going to be bummed when 22 reveals an awesome dark green with a white hard top a la old fjs and d90s

I had the MIC top picked all along so it didn't bother me much. And I fully anticipate some cool color combos for 22.

I think the "orange" is already pretty yellow. It sucks that all the high trim people are getting the MIC top now. That'll mean less for everyone else.

Neighbor has one. A lot smaller than I expected.

I totally agree. Or bring the big Bronco out first, then add the Sport. Kind of like the old Bronco II was.

Considering this is a big Bronco thread, that thing is hideous. Looks like something a farm boy took a Sawzall to so he could haul some hay.
