Is that a 7-series? If so, better start saving up for repairs

I did a really aggressive "foamectomy" on my driver seat. Took about 3 inches of foam out of the seat bottom, 1" from the back, and reshaped the side bolsters a bit. It honestly was not nearly the change I had hoped for. My head now just barely fits without hitting the top in a normal seating position, and my eye level is still higher than I would like. I doubt that I would pass the broomstick test for a track day (I don't have a rollbar so cant check). There may be an aftermarket seat in my future.

You'll be amazed by how much room you can find with an aftermarket seat. I had a kirkey bolted to the floor for a long time and it was the opposite of cramped.

I had the pleasure of driving an awd is350 sedan tonight for two hours. SUCH a nice car!

My current fun summer car/ BMW headache. I still want a Miata. Someone on the face-space wants to trade their turbo S2000 for a BMW 135i, and it has me thinking.

How has it been a headache?
I would hope it’s new enough not to be one.
I would imagine at least the Honda wouldn’t be one, assuming you’ll fit in it. I’ve read there’s a different bracket you can buy to lower the seat.

Also curious about your 1 series headaches. I have been telling my wife (and myself) that the Miata is temporary until the right 135 pops up.

We need a car club, obviously.

Like every other old guy, always been intrigued by Porsche 911's. And almost every 911 owner I've met wants to drive the WRX: the grass is always greener.

The headaches are the typical BMW problems. In the 20k or so I’ve put on it in 3 years I’ve replaced, water pump, thermostat, oil filter gasket, valve cover gasket, all the coils, all the abs sensors, and maybe more. A little thing that goes wrong can cause mysterious, and hard to identify issues.

On the plus side, it has a nice tune, intercooler, downpipe, coilovers, and a few other little touches. Driving it is amazing, the car feels tight, and 90mph feels slow on the highway. I’m considering getting a bigger turbo, and should expect 400whp with stock drivability, with that.

As far as that S2k goes, it’s super temping, but buying someone else’s project is asking for headaches.

Yeah buying someone else’s project, I get that.

I haven’t heard of too many turbo s2000.
However with the top down Atleast 90 will feel faster!!?

We are willing to trade our Speed3 for a sweet 390 duke. You would be getting the better end of the stick.
