    Glue for rubber helmet trim?

The trim around the bottom of my lid is slowly coming apart. I've tried superglue & elmers to no avail. Failed horribly

    Any suggestions?

Me thinks I might have to remove it completely, prep the surface really good & give superglue another shot.

The only problem with any superglue, is that they dont bond to smooth surfaces very well. be sure and score up any smooth surface before you apply the glue, it will hold forever. and if you have any troubles with the glue nail polish remover will fix it!

If your not gonna go the super glue route try this stuff. It will bond to any surface, again be sure to scratch up any surface you apply any glue to. No glue holds very well to smooth surfaces!

you will want glue plus tape....when it gets hot the glue softens and will eventually loosen....i picked up a helmet for my with that had this problem and the only way around it was a really really strong epoxy and black elect. tape....

nooooo.... I'm not gonna replace a helmet w/ an MSRP of $899 that you can no longer get in the US just because the rubber trim around the bottom come unglued in a couple spots.

A little glue & it'l be good as new.

Go to an autoshop and buy some 3M Weatherstripping cement.

Be careful to not get it where you don't want it.
