It was enjoyable to see again.

Def surprised with the P1. Because every other test it has the pirellii trefolio R tyres and the car is an absolute beast. Would love to see all three on some race rubber though.

I'm excited to see this. Even signed up for Prime again because it was $20/year off for this.

    Re: The Grand Tour

I'm really curious if the test track is as dangerous as they say....I like the lay out. A lot. It was pretty well known that the old track favored high horsepower cars. But if it is as dangerous as they say (and as it looked on film)...and they don't get a good test driver...I don't see the tests being all that meaningful. Can't judge a book by its cover though, maybe that truck driver is a fucking boss behind the wheel.

I honestly couldn't stop smiling during the opening scene, seeing all three of them back together. I felt like a giddy school girl.

For serious. He came pretty close to binning that thing. I actually said "is he sure he wants to hold that DRS button down?"

    Re: The Grand Tour

I loved it. Something's felt a bit forced but its a new show, new producers new everything and they want it to be the best so I think after a couple episodes they will ease back into it. I don't love or hate Mike Skinner as my jury is still out on that one. Mike Skinner was a good Busch Drive, crappy Nascar Driver and pretty great in the truck series. Wait does the truck series even exist anymore?

    Re: The Grand Tour

I thought it was a great comeback for them, although I did have one gripe about it. They would shoot all the hyper cars without showing the person driving, then cut to their reaction inside the car. This repeated several times and I realized that it probably wasnt them driving the piss out of these million dollar cars. Kinda took the fun out of it for me. I understand why Mclaren, Ferrari, and Porsche wouldn't let just anyone beat the shit out of their most expensive cars, but still.. And its hard to believe that they're going 200mph drifting around a track with no helmet or anything on except a nice button up shirt. Regardless, it was great to see them back.

They're not drifting at 200. Maybe, MAYBE half that. But yes, great to see them back at it. Little out of practice, but the're on their way.

2nd episode was on the weak side. Skinner talks too much and is predictable in what hes gonna say.

Yup. I hope they do better in the next 10 episodes. Already sick of Skinner.

clarkson responded to the reviews of the last episode:
“Hello everyone. Show two of the Grand Tour is very car light, and that happens again in the Barbados film later in the series. We do this on purpose to entertain the countless people who invariably say, when I sit next to them at a party, ‘I like your show but why do you put cars on it?’” – Jeremy Clarkson

These madmen are a big hit on NASIOC and some other car forums. Because who wouldn’t want to transplant an AWD system and turbo four into an Issigonis Mini? 28 episodes, they’re almost done.

    Re: The Grand Tour

As fun as that sounds, the original pushrod four tuned to make 100 HP on the mini is as entertaining as any car on the planet to drive IMO. it sounds like a ferrari, corners like a shifter kart, and makes everyone who sees/hears it coming smile, raise a fist in the air, or even jump up and down as you rip past.
